"Santa Maria Annunziata" Hospital Complex - Florence

The Santa Maria Annunziata Public Hospital in Bagno a Ripoli (FI) is a key healthcare center serving Florence and surrounding areas. Built between the 1960s and 1980s, it consists of several reinforced concrete structures. Before the safety assessment, an extensive diagnostics campaign was carried out on the structures and the soil, with particular attention to the interferences, in order to minimize the disruption to the users. Given its strategic role, in addition to the usual structural analyses, specific operational analyses were also conducted to ensure functionality during seismic events.
