Town hall - Calenzano (FI)

The building housing the Municipality of Calenzano, realized in 1933 with a masonry structure, has been analyzed with an extensive geotechnical and structural diagnostics campaign, as a preliminary step to the static and seismic vulnerability study. Based on the findings of these studies, seismic retrofitting interventions were designed. Given the historical importance of the building, special attention was dedicated to the design of the interventions, assessing their compatibility with the existing structure and their reversibility, in line with the goals of preservation and conservative restoration.
