VALUESAFE enters the Product Development phase: a new step towards the market
The VALUESAFE project continues its development journey, reaching a new important milestone: the start of the Product Development phase.
Following the activities carried out during the previous project stages, VALUESAFE has been recognised by ESA – European Space Agency as eligible and worthy of progressing to the next development phase, confirming the soundness of the proposed approach and the potential of the solution in terms of innovation and market applicability.
VALUESAFE aims to develop an advanced digital platform for the multi-hazard risk assessment of buildings and infrastructure, integrating Earth Observation satellite data, A-DInSAR analyses, artificial intelligence, and engineering models to assess vulnerability, damage, and potential economic losses associated with earthquakes, floods, landslides, and subsidence.
By entering the Product Development phase, VALUESAFE takes a further step towards transforming the developed framework into an operational, scalable, and user-oriented solution. The next activities will focus on consolidating the platform’s functionalities, integrating and optimising its different analytical modules, and validating the service through real-world application scenarios.
ESA’s recognition represents an important confirmation of the path undertaken by S2R and marks the beginning of a new stage for VALUESAFE, with the ambition of bringing space technologies, engineering expertise, and digital tools closer to the practical needs of natural hazard risk management and mitigation.
VALUESAFE continues to evolve: moving from research and validation towards a market-ready solution to support better-informed decisions, more resilient territories, and more sustainable asset management.
