The Vespucci Bridge, designed by engineer Riccardo Morandi alongside architects Giorgio and Enzo Gori and Ernesto Nelli, is a significant 20th-century structure, made of prestressed reinforced concrete and spanning about 150 meters with two piers in the riverbed. The left pier required safety interventions to restore the full functionality of the infrastructure. The construction work involved the scour protection with directional drilling, TAM injections, and underwater concrete casting, ensuring the stability of the foundations and the bridge's continued use.
