Two-dimensional analysis with FLAC code of interaction between a retaining wall and the 150 feet high and 1500 feet wide embankment dam. The tangent pile wall casted in place is required to reconstruct a surface spillway next to the Montedoglio dam on the Tiber river and is performed to prevent large strains of the dam. Design of new 40 feet high and 780 m3/s capacity concrete spillway. Dam type: Zoned-earth dam.
